I don’t commonly use make-up except for my everyday lippie. This is partly because I often struggle on finding the right shade or colour-palette for my morena skin tone. Even during special events where I do try to find someone to do a full make-up on me, I still don’t find myself fully satisfied with the results for 2 reasons. (1) I often looked fairer than I really am (which I don’t like because I love my natural tan), and; (2) if there’s something I like about the look and I ask the artist how I can tone it down for an everyday look, I don’t usually get an enthusiastic response.

During my make-up session with Meg, she patiently shared the process on analysing her client’s facial structure and skin type. It was my first time hearing it. She taught me some tips and tricks on how to tidy and shape my bushy brows on my own, gave me tips on choosing the right shade of nude lipstick for me, and gave advice on choosing hair colours suitable for me. =)) Overall, I was happy with the results because I was not made to look like somebody else. The look was appropriate and comfortable to wear – not over the top and this fits my personality perfectly. I did not just felt more beautiful, but I felt more confident too.

I appreciated that she didn’t just do my make-up, but also shared the knowledge of her craft with me. Her enthusiasm for her craft is infectious and I somehow appreciate the effort of putting make-ups more than a functional routine. LOL.
